Jonathon Fisher '18 Recruiting Profile

I have loved the game of baseball since my first days of coach pitch and t-ball.  My love for the game grew as I joined my first travel team back in 9U and I still have the same passion for the game,if not more, than when I was young.  I have focused solely on baseball since I was in 6th grade.  I sustained my 3rd concussion prior to my 6th grade football season and my parents and I made the decision to focus solely on baseball due to health reasons.  While disappointed at the time that my days of playing QB were behind me, the extra time to work with private coaches definitely enhanced my game.

I have met many friends from my various travel teams that I have played on over the past 8 seasons.  I would say that I've always been a team player and that I have enhanced the overall team chemistry.  I have always had a good relationship with my coaches.  When I am not playing baseball I enjoy lifting weights, fishing, and watching funny movies.  My family and I attend Friendship Lutheran Church of Joy in Champaign.

I would like to find a college that will enable me to play at the highest level of competition, while offering me the same level of education.  As of now I am planning on majoring in business or sports management.

I can assure any coach who recruits me that they will value my work ethic, my personality, and my sense of humor.  I am working hard everyday to make myself the best player that I can become.
