My name is Luke Meister, I have been playing baseball since I was two years old, and once I started I never stopped. At a very young age I fell in love with playing and watching the game of baseball, and to this day I still eat breathe and sleep baseball. Since I started playing organized ball at the age of two I've always wanted to be the best player on my team and practiced and worked hard on my own to reach the goals I set for myself. As I got older I only got more determined, and fortunately I got even more help from other coaches who have helped me improve. My parents were never the ones pressuring me to go and practice, find coaches to work with, tryout for new travel teams, or put together my own workouts to do every day. My parents did not make me do anything, but they were always there to support me on every decision I ever made. I love to push myself harder to get better and prove those who doubt me wrong. I use all of the tools I am given and try not to take anything for granted.
I hope I am able to play at a division 1 or division 2 college, because I feel like I have the work ethic, determination, skills, and potential to play at a high level of competition. Even though division 1 and 2 colleges are my goal I am willing to consider other options and see where the road takes me. No matter where I am in; the rest of my high school, college, or anywhere beyond that I am motivated to be the first person to every practice and the last one to leave. I am not a player who talks a lot I just put my head down, work, and let my playing speak for me. Being a calm and more laid back player I find that I am able to get past mistakes or errors that I make, and come back later in the game when my team needs me while stilling being passionate about the game.
