I am currently in 8th grade at the Latin School of Chicago. I have been playing travel baseball since I was 8 years old and I currently play for the Chicago Mudcats Baseball organization. I have played for the Mudcats since 2014. For the 2017 Season, I played on the 13U Team, but also played up for a number of summer tournaments with the 14U team. For the 2017 fall season, I joined the 14U team competing at the 15U level. I am a starting pitcher for the Mudcats and when I am not pitching, I typically play third base or first base. I am however also a competitive catcher and shortstop. I have also played baseball for my middle school team since 5th grade and I have won the Coaches Award in 5th, 6th and 7th grades.
In the summer of 2017, I was selected to represent Chicago at the JCC Maccabi Games in Miami, Florida on the 14U baseball team. The JCC Maccabi Games are an Olympic-style sporting competition held each summer in North America and is the second largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers in the world. Teens from all over the United States participated in the Miami games, as well as youth from Israel, Mexico, Canada, Panama and Great Britain. My team went into the playoffs with a perfect record as the number one seed and came in second overall. It was an amazing experience playing with and meeting kids from all over and learning more about my heritage (and Major Leaguer Justin Bour attended our final game and we got to meet him!). I am hoping to compete again in 2018 in Orange County California.
I look forward to playing high school baseball next year at Latin and being able to add to my athletic and academic profile.
