Hello,
My name is Andrew Powers. I have been wrestling for three years. This is my senior year and my greatest year yet! I started wrestling in highschool. The main reason I started wrestling in my freshman year was to stay in shape for football. Once I started wrestling, I realized what I was missing out on. I love the amount of dedication and drive it takes to compete in this sport. I immediately knew this was the sport for me. I am not just any student. I have taken many Honors and AP classes through out my highschool years. As a senior I will be taking AP literature. I have taken World History AP, Chemistry Honors, and English Honors each 3 years. My dream this year is to work hard and to be a California State Wrestling Champ. Last year I placed 3rd at Newbury Park, 3rd at Long Beach Poly, and I was a Pioneer League champ. At CIF, I took top 8. My mindset is very driven and I work very hard. After college I will go into the Navy and become a Navy SEAL, because I love to work hard and I love to be the best I can possibly be. I will do anything to achieve my goal. I am currently ranked 3rd in CIF, and 18th in Masters the southern section of California. I am very interested in the college experience and will entertain all areas of the country and all college programs.
