That first year of water polo had changed my life entirely. Practice became all i looked forward to. I was usually the first one to practice and the last to leave. I've grown to become fully dedicated to this sport. It has gotten to the point where all I wish to do is jump in any pool around me at any given time. I have dreamed of becoming a professional athlete over the years. I figured if I am this dedicated now, I can become even more dedicated as a professional. My freshman year of high school had to be a successful year for myself. My school did not have a water polo team and I could not live with that. Knowing my principal was a very open minded woman, I asked if we could make a team. At first, the school said no. I then went around the school asking everyone who would join to write their name down on a piece of paper. I gave it to my coach and she spoke with the principal. I was then notified that I had made the first water polo team in the entire history of the school. This was a major accomplishment. My goals are to go as far as I can with this sport. I am a team player and I play with heart and soul. I play to help my team win and be successful. Feeling the ball being released from my own arm with such force is truly something that makes me want to do it again and again. I don't believe I'll ever stop playing. This sport will always be the biggest part of my life.
