Ashley McGhee '11 Recruiting Profile

Water polo has been an important part of my life during high school, and the reason Ive done so well in it is because I have a huge passion for it. Since my freshman year, I have been on the varsity water polo team. Its my senior year now and I am 5'9" and 145 lbs. My water polo team won city championships in 2010, along with my Swimming team that I'm also a part of, and have kept varsity status since sophomore year. This year, I have been appointed captain of my water polo team after being awarded All-Conference 1st team, and MVP last year. I also enjoy school and have a 4.1 GPA as well as a 26 on my ACT. The point of this is not to brag about my teams, but more so of how athletics has changed my life. It has kept me healthy, I am responsible for balancing school and practice, and I'm disciplined because I have respect for my life.
