Olivia Perry '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Olivia Perry and I am a 5’9 1/2 junior with a 3.95 GPA, at Canyon Crest Academy, and the starting varsity goalkeeper for the woman’s water polo team. I have been playing water polo since I was in seventh grade, having learned under the coaching of former Olympians Gubba Sheehy, and now play both club and high school year round. Outside of my high school season, I compete on the Del Mar Water Polo Club team, which last year placed 22nd in the Junior Olympics in Orange County. I have also been the starting varsity goalie since my sophomore year, and last year I beat out a senior for that position. As the goalie, it is my job to help lead my team in the pool. This role has taught me great leadership skills and has helped to improve our team dynamic during a game. I am open to different kinds of colleges with both DI-III and also club teams, although my preferences are schools located on the east and west coasts, with strong academic programs with a variety of majors. I would really love to continue this sport in college at the highest competitive level, and hopefully become a strong part of a college team.
