I hope to be able to expand my horizons and be able to play volleyball in college. In college, I hope to study the field of medicine so I can become a pharmacist. I want to go to a college with a medical program. I've had an interest in volleyball since elementary school and I was so excited to start my volleyball career in 2014. I never give up which is so important to my work ethic today. Whether I'm doings sprints, working on new a technique, or even playing in a tournament, I know that never giving up will pay off in a positive way, even if it takes a lot of effort to get there. I am also a student so strives to keep my GPA at a 3.9 or above. Academics comes before anything because I know that if I don't have good grades, it won't pay off in the future. I focus hard on academics so I can see the payoff in my grades. I am a very bubbly and happy person, which makes me easy to approach. I love talking to people to get to know them better. I'm easy to develop a bond with for I love creating friendships with whoever comes around. Athletically, though I may be little, I am fierce. I know that being short is one disadvantage in the sport of volleyball, but I work on my vertical whenever I have the chance to. I always try to work out, even on my off days, so I can stay in shape. I am also always on top of things. I know that getting things done on time or doing something early is always better than slacking off. I have a contagious smile and can cheer someone up when they're feeling down. I'm also very spirited. I bring the energy to a team. Whether I'm on the court or on the bench, I'm always focused and cheering at the top of my lungs. Bringing my teammates' energy levels up benefits us as a whole, and it's a special characteristic in me that is rare to find in other people. I'm not just an outside hitter or an opposite or a libero, I'm a volleyball player. I work on all aspects of my game to improve my overall game, not just on one skill. I push myself to always be tired and sweaty after practice, because for me, that means I worked hard and gave it my all. Even if I'm not having a good day or practice, I know that by being tired and sweaty after practice means that I gave it my all to improve as much as I could that day, and that I'll come back even stronger the next day. A quote I practice by is "Better today, best tomorrow".
