Hello! My name is Aleina Gabriel. I am a senior at Kentwood High school and currently have a GPA of about 3.7. I have been active in sports since I was three years old. Before I turned my attention more towards volleyball, I did gymnastics, basketball, soccer, and track. Volleyball is truly my way of life. Out on the court, nothing else matters to me but the ball and each and every one of my teammates. A couple seasons ago, I played up a year with Kent Juniors Volleyball Club U-17. I received the MVP Award at the Emerald City Classic 18s Division, one of my greatest accomplishments. I was also a team captain in high school for the last 2 years and received an MVP awards there as well for the last 2 consecutive seasons. This year our school took 4th place in State and I also received the Sportsmanship award. I truly hope to pursue my dreams of playing volleyball in college and at the same time to pursue my career in athletic training/therapy! A lesson I have learned is not to let anyone or anything stop me from reaching my goals and doing what I love. Not only do I apply this to volleyball, but I apply it to my everyday life. I would be a great candidate to your team because I will put forth my greatest effort into everything I do, I will set the standards high for myself so that I may push to be better than the rest!
