Kinslee Hammonds '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kinslee Hammonds and I am a 15 year old Sophomore from a small town called Gate City located in Virginia. It is my goal to be recruited to play Division I college softball, hopefully on scholarship, at a competitive academic university. I am proud to say that I play for Gate City High School where I started as catcher and batted either clean up or in the 5th spot all season my freshman year. I also play for a travel team where I start as catcher, outfield, or third. I am willing and play wherever the team needs me. I am athletic, quick, and smart, not to mention extremely driven. I like to think of myself as an all around athlete and take pride in my versatility. I also pride myself on being a leader on and off of the field. You are not going to win every game but you have to believe that you can, I try to share this confidence and enthusiasm with my friends, family, and teammates. However, academics always come first. I am very focused academically and maintain a 3.98 weighted GPA and was tied for salutatorian for my Freshman year.
