Ashton Ates '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball for five years and club for East Texas Juniors for three years.  As a sophomore, I was selected 16-4A District New- Comer of the Year and First Team All-District.  My junior year I was All-District Blocker and First Team All-District.  I have a desire and passion to play at the collegiate level.  I have been training on and off the court for this once in a lifetime opportunity.    I am constantly working to improve my skills as in getting faster and stronger.  I consistently encourage my teammates and I am a natural leader.  I am extremely coachable and I am always the first one on the court and last one to leave the court.  I am one of the hardest working recruits you will ever find.   In the classroom, I hold a 3.4 GPA and I work hard to maintain and strive to improve.  Academics is an important part of my life because I plan to be a Pediatrician when I graduate college.  I am open to all options to find the right college match that will allow me to compete at the highest level and gain a great education for my future.  I hope to be a great role model for our youth, parents and society.
