Personal Statement

My goals are to graduate from high school and to be a respectable man and  leader.  I have worked hard this summer visiting college football camps.  The camps I attended were Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas State and SFA. This summer I also attended a camp retreat to strengthen my faith in God and my character. I have been asked to volunteer as a junior counselor next summer, for a couple of weeks.

Currently I am a sophomore in high school and have the endorsement of computer science.  This is the degree I will be seeking in college. A club I enjoy in high school is the bass club.  Here we are a part of the Texas High School Bass Association.  We compete in bass fishing tournaments.  I am well rounded and have many hobbies I enjoy such as fishing, hunting, graphic design, computers, baseball, football, gaming, youth group, cooking, fixing things, playing the guitar and family.

My mission is to play football at college level and possibly professionally. I was blessed with size and coordination. I have been in the 99th percentile for weight and height my entire life. This has helped me be a starter on every single sports team I have ever played in my life (since age 5).  My coaches throughout the years have shaped me into what I am today. Years ago my Pop Warner coach taught me that football is 90%mental and 10% physical. I have always remembered that and strive to stay mentally strong and grounded.  Another meaningful lesson was from my middle school coach.  He always said to have a sense of urgency, and so I apply that in to every area of my life. No matter what type of diversity I may face on or off the field, I can’t ever quit. I am a very loyal person who treats everyone with respect. My faith is what inspires to stand up for what is right and encourage those around me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
