I play volleyball at George Ranch High School, a 6A school in Richmond, Texas., a suburb of Houston. I am a 5'7" S/DS/OH/RS that will graduate in 2021. I have played club volleyball since 2014 and am currently with Houston Skyline Juniors. My primary position is Setter, and when I am setting, I like to involve all the hitters and utilize the talent of the entire team to win. In the past I have played MB because of my jumping ability when my teams have needed me. On JV and in club I was a starter and team captain, and I played all the way around. I consider myself a leader and know that my attitude on the court directly impacts my teammates. My coaches depended on me to lead the team on the court. I am excited that I am now on Varsity.
I am also on the school track team, participating in pole vault, high jump, the 800M, 4x100M relay and 4x200M relay. Last year I broke the junior high school record in the 800M with a time of 2:26:67 and was part of the winning 4x100M team that broke the school record with a time of 50.4. I was also one of three people that broke the school pole vaul record with a vault of 8'0".
I condition during the summers, winter and spring breaks. I also enjoy playing beach volleyball, and have played club soccer since I was 5. I am currently center forward. I promise I am coachable and will work hard! I am fortunate to have athletic ability, but my drive and determination to be the best when I condition and play any of my sports is what separates me from the rest.
As a member of National Junior Honor Society, I maintain an “A” average and had 4 high school credits before entering my Freshman year. I am interested in attending a college that will allow me to major in business and pre-law while playing volleyball.
