From a young age of 10 years old, I gained an interest in volleyball. My court time only started out to meet an end result of being ready for middle school volleyball, but my passion for the game grew quickly. I played my first season of club volleyball when I was 11 years old. Starting at limited club my first season due to the age waiver, I decided to jump an age group so I could expand on my skills at my own pace. In end result, this was an amazing decision for my abilities and this year at 15's I compete at the highest level of competition my club has to offer. My middle school season this year was also a great learning experience. I was granted the opportunity to play A team volleyball as captain and learn to be a leader on the court. I was awarded the "Volleyball All-star" award for outstanding performance and the "Titan Strong" award for my athletic ability.
Just like I am with volleyball, I'm extremely devoted to my education. I have goals of becoming a veterinarian when I am older. My love for animals was in my heart since birth. I organized a Trunk -Or-Treat in 2016 to benefit Apollo Animal Shelter with my Peer Assistance and Leadership Group. I volunteer and donate to animal shelters so I can know I'm making a difference immediately. Another opportunity I've been given is to participate in volunteer work through National Juniors Honor Society to better improve my community. I hope to continue my work for animals and my community throughout my college years and after. I like to put the skills I've learned from both volleyball and volunteer work together to push me to reach my academic and athletic goals. Working hard to become a veterinarian would allow me to grow academically and care for animals in a way that I can make a difference in the world.
