I began playing volleyball in sixth grade. Since then, my love for the sport has only grown. I love the always-engaged intensity of the game. I have played other sports. I’ve played softball ever since I can remember. And, more recently, I’ve played AAU basketball. While I enjoy competing in those other sports, it’s volleyball’s strategy, team work, and intensity that I love.
I am a very friendly, passionate person. I will stand up for the little guy, even if I stand alone. I aspire to share goodness in the world and lead people down a good path, hoping I can be a light. And, I lead by example on and off the court.
I am an all “A” honors student in the most advanced classes that my school offers. I serve as a peer tutor for other students in my school. My peers elected me president of my school’s national honor society. And, I served as our school mascot, Lucky the Longhorn, this year. I also compete in academic competitions for my school in several areas. I'm also active in my church youth group outside of school.
I’ve always envisioned myself playing at a collegiate level. I love the idea of the challenge that it presents. And, I think by finding the right college that I will continue to be challenged to be my best on and off the court. I hope to make my family proud by attending a top-notch college where I can continue to pursue my education while competing as an athlete.
