My name is Delanie Patterson and I am a freshman middle hitter/blocker for the class of 2021. I started playing volleyball in the 2nd grade for Kids Inc. and then later on decided I wanted to take volleyball more seriously. In the 4th grade I started participating in club volleyball training to get better and in the 5th grade I started playing club. Ever since then I have had such a strong passion for volleyball. I am always focused on getting better, pushing myself and my teammates to persevere and never give up no matter what. Playing volleyball is so important to me that I make sure I’m doing what it takes to perform at my very best on and off the court by working extra hard and by putting in the effort to maintain good grades. A goal for me is to make all A’s in school and so far I’ve been meeting this goal every year dating back to elementary school. School is really important for me because I value my education very much and it’s significant for me to continue to do good in school so I can continue to play the sport I love and execute my role on the court as best as I can. I would love to get the opportunity to play college volleyball and experience the challenges and the thrill of playing at such a high level with my teammates. I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for the talents and blessings He provides me. I wouldn’t be here without my supportive and loving family. The sacrifices they have made for me to get me to where I am today is more than I could ever ask for.
