I am looking to play collegiate volleyball for a competitive unniversity. I hope to study biology as my undergraduate degree, with plans to attend medical school later on. I love the sport of volleyball and play year round with various clubs. Before I started volleyball I was a competitive gymnast. Doing gymnastic helped shape and condition my body for volleyball. When I first started volleyball I didn't realize how fast I was going to fall in love with the sport and before I realized it, I was hooked.
I have gone to multiple camps during the summers to help improve my skills for the upcoming season. This past summer I was invited to attend camp at Kean University in New Jersey. There were multiple college coaches in attendance, and it was very interesting to see the different ways they coached and ran practices/drills.
I think that I am a very good leader on and off the court. Whether it is helping my teammates or getting the team motivated for the game, I strive to make my team the very best that it can be. I try to bring a positive attitude at all times, and always encourage my teammates to give their best. My goal with NCSA is to get recruited by my junior year in high school.
Please check out my profile, as I will be posting videos and my schedule for the upcoming club season.
Thank you for your time,
Ali Yordy
