I fell in love with volleyball when I started playing at open gyms in 6th grade, and since then have pursued my passion onto the national and open club levels and high school varsity. My years facing the high points and challenges of volleyball have helped me develop not only as a player, but also as a person. I believe that with heart and hustle, anything can be achieved. I believe that my confidence on and off the court and my drive to constantly improve define me most as a player. My positive court energy and support of my teammates will make me an asset to any team. I am equally passionate about my education, and look forward to continuing my successful academic career in college.
Scouting reports from former coaches:
“I’ve had the pleasure of watching Ginny grow as she is entering her 3rd year in my volleyball program. Since I’ve met Ginny her transformation and growth as a volleyball player has been incredible. Her dedication and work ethic are off the charts. Her technical ability has improved greatly due to her incredible work ethic and she persistently looks for new ways to improve her game. She is consistent and highly energetic. Hard working. Persistent. Her positive attitude permeates through at every practice and every match. She could play any position on the court if she were asked, however defense is her forte. She has excellent range and speed. Her toughness shines through in the biggest games and she has a never say die attitude that never quits. Her serving game is excellent and improves her teams ability to put her opponent at a disadvantage. On and off the court Ginny is an excellent team mate. She is first to volunteer to help a team mate or begin a drill or take down the net. Ginny is an outstanding player and team mate who makes any team instantly better through her many attributes.” – Dave Noll, Varsity Head Coach at the Agnes Irwin School
"Over the last 3 years, I have had the privilege of both observing and working with Ginny Ulichney. In all my years of coaching, I have never met a player more dedicated to the sport, her individual development, and any team she of which she is a part. Her work ethic and efforts are second to none. She readily welcomes any coaching, and consistently seeks out ways to better her game. She is technically sound in all areas of the game, but especially thrives on defense. Her communicational skills both encourage and lead her team during tough situations. She would be an incredible asset to any team, and an exceptional teammate to any player. I am a better coach for having been able to spend time with Ginny." -- Roberta Mcguiney, Director of Player Development at East Coast Power Volleyball Club
