I'm very passionate about indoor and beach volleyball. I started playing at age 10 after moving to Oregon from Colorado. My new neighbor encouraged me to try the sport, and I fell in love. I started out as the "spindly" little lefty who wanted to make the best team. I went to camps and trained with the older girls, working as hard as I could to meet my goals, and the following club season I made the 12-1 Gold team. The next summer I tried getting my feet dirty playing beach volleyball and found that I love the sand sport even more, and ever since I have been passionately building my skills at both. I've always pushed myself the extra mile even when others have doubted me, which has allowed me to to achieve success.
When I'm not playing I enjoy traveling, hiking, art and spending time with friends and family. I try to balance my athletic goals and enjoying the fun experience of being a teenager.
I am looking for a college that will further my education and prepare me for a career while allowing me to competitively play volleyball. My ultimate goal would be to attain success with a college degree while integrating playing the sport I love after college and throughout my life.
