My name is Eileen Tang and I am an outside hitter for the class of 2020. In addition to being an outside hitter for my team Smash 16u White, I am a starting opposite hitter for my high school varsity team. My high school team finished last year as a finalist in the City Championships and the first place team in our region. My club team has been very successful, winning gold in the 2016 Volleyball Canada National Eastern Championships as well as gold in the T1 D3 2017 OVA Provincial Championships. We finished our 2016-17 season ranked 17th in Ontario and 19th in Canada.
I have a strong work ethic and my many years of commitment to volleyball, basketball, and soccer have taught me how to properly balance the demands of a competitive team with the high academic standards that I have set for myself. I am a captain on my club volleyball team and this important leadership position provides me with the opportunity to lead by example. I understand the importance of dedication in this sport and I strive to continuously play at my highest level both in tournaments, and during practice. Throughout the summer months, I play beach volleyball to improve my strength and endurance, as well as to refine my indoor skills.
I have aspired to play volleyball at the collegiate level not only further my education, but to work alongside girls who share the same passion for volleyball as me.
