Caroline Sheets '15 Recruiting Profile

Since I was 10 years old I have held the dream of playing college volleyball close to my heart!  I have worked hard, overcome diversities and kept pushing through.  I am a LEADER in every sense of the word.  I am able to demonstrate the qualities of punctuality, respect, diligent work effort and tenacity that a leader on and off the court must have.  I believe in ONE GOAL for the entire team and setting a vision and working daily to attain that vision.  I believe that there is greatness inside ourselves and that we must push ourselves beyond what is comfortable to attain greatness.  I have been a setter for top-level, challenging club team in the Ohio Valley region for over 6 years row.  there will always be someone faster, taller and smarter than me but not one setter will be a better leader or champion for my teammates than I!  I have excellent references from coaches (and teammates) that reflect my desire to win and sportsmanship.  I am different than other volleyball players because I KNOW what my future looks like and I am willing to work hard and fight for my vision.  An example of my leadership is that I was recognized as a stand-out, talented student by a VERY LARGE school district and named Lead Social media Intern by the Communications Director.  I post to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the district - no edits from management.  Yes,  a teenager posting on behalf of a school district!  They trust and believe in my integrity.  Soon after you meet me you will see that I am the REAL thing . . . The REAL Ginger . . . no facade or platform.  Just me.  In fact,  I am an awful test taker!  I have done everything under the sun to become a better test-taker and nothing helps!  I know that might limit my options as far as college admissions programs but I think I'll turn out just fine in the end . . . The school that chooses to give me the chance to succeed will benefit by earning a dedicated leader and a real person with a real desire to win and learn.
