Cierah Jackson '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cierah Jackson and I am currently a senior captain at Padua Franciscan High School in Parma, Ohio.  I have received recognition and awards in the conference as well as the district. My sophomore year at Padua we finished the season in the Final Four for the Div II State Championship and we fell just short of that this last year falling in the Regionals. This year as a senior we plan to bring a championship back to Padua.

I have played club volleyball for the past 8 years with six years in a row for the club’s national team. The past two years I have helped lead my team to play in the National Championship and I look forward to making it back and winning this year.

I have received many compliments from numerous coaches as they have watched me play competitively on the court. I am a great passer when I play back-row and I have a powerful top spin serve. I am a powerful and explosive player with lateral quickness at the net with the ability to terminate making me a huge asset at the net. On the court I encourage my teammates and try to pull the team together whenever we are down. I want to push myself to excel above anyone's expectations including my own. To help me accomplish this, I am training with a personal volleyball trainer, Dave Schierbaumb of MAQ, during the school year and JO season.

I am not sure where I would like to go to college but I have a few choices in mind. I plan to become a microbiologist. I have made the honor roll every quarter and this year I was selected to be in the National Honors Society. I am interested in attending a college that has strong academic program, many extracurricular activities, clubs, as well as a competitive volleyball team.
