Even though I have been a multi-sport athlete my whole life, playing volleyball is my passion. I’ve been on the club court for four years, having served as captain for two of them. Last year, as an 8th grader, I started for my high school varsity team, and we continued onto States and achieved the best win/loss record in school history. Also as an 8th grader, I earned All-Tournament at our pre-season event as well as All-Conference Honorable Mention. This past summer I received the highest marks possible in an invitation-only USAV High Performance Select Camp (please see evaluation in my Athletic History as 'Press'). As a 5’11” outside hitter, I am smart at the net, a strong passer, and always hungry for strong competition. I enjoy continuously pushing beyond my limits to attain new goals.
Because I am only in 9th grade, I am open to a variety of school options. I want a challenging academic program as well as an opportunity to participate on a volleyball team where I can have an impact. Off and on the court, I am a perfectionist who strives for success through positivity, hard work, and integrity.
For the past four years I have attended Carolina Friends School, a Quaker-philosophy education where students do not get receive GPAs, ranks, or grades (please see school philosophy document located in my Academic profile). Carolina Friends School focuses on social justice, critical thinking, academic independence, collaboration, and helping others through service. I believe strongly that everyone can have a positive impact on those around them.
