I am currently 14 years old and have played competitive volleyball for 5 years. I am very excited to have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level and receive the best education possible.
I have tried almost any sport you can imagine from soccer to gymnastics but the only sport that stood out to me was volleyball. I knew immediately that’s what I wanted to play for the rest of my life. The main reason why volleyball stands out to me is that I like having teammates whom I could rely on and vice versa. I take pride in always encouraging myself and my teammates to be the best.
I believe that I am a unique teammate because I don't just push for the best in myself, but my teammates as well. Coaches have told me that I am a very coachable athlete. I respect and value their opinions because they want what is best for their athletes, on and off the court.
I also like being active in volunteering and extracurricular activities. I am involved a number of clubs including Rotary Club, C.A.R.E Club and Art Club. My goal by the end of freshmen year is to have 100 hours of community service in and by the end of high school, to have 400 hours of community service.
