I began playing volleyball in sixth grade. Not only do I play volleyball but I also play basketball and softball as well. However, when I stepped onto the volleyball court for the first time I knew that my goal was to play at a collegiate level. Playing at such a high level would be a great opportunity for me. I have been working towards that goal ever since. I play for my school, I play club volleyball, I go to several volleyball camps and clinics because I want to improve and be the best that I can.
When I play I hit with a lot of power but know how to control it. I have a consistent jump serve that is also aggressive. I am a very coachable player and will listen to what ever my coach instructs me to do. As a Captain for my school team, I try to be a leader on and off the court and always encourage my teammates. I have always been a hard worker and will continue to be so at the collegiate level.
My school work is very important to me. I maintain a 3.5 grade point average to be ranked in the top half of my class and was inducted into the National Honor Society. I love to take time to volunteer at my local church and for Multiple Sclerosis fundraising. Also, for the passed two years I have volunteered at my schools junior volleyball camp to help young children aspire to work hard and be excellent volleyball players.
While choosing a college to attend I am looking for a school that will challenge me not just academically but on the court as well. I want to find a college that best suites me and allows me many opportunities.
