Lauryn Stillman '14 Recruiting Profile

On the volleyball court, I learned the life skills that I need to be a strong athlete, a strong woman, and most importantly, a strong person. To truly be part of a team, I need to put aside my individual needs and be willing to work collaboratively with a group to achieve a common goal. I plan to use the skills that I have learned in athletics and  push myself to be all that I can be in college academics, college sports, my career, and in life. Self-knowledge is a valuable tool that allows me to recognize my strengths and weakness, set goals, and implement strategies to achieve these goals. I have learned that wise people open their minds to continous learning.  High School has allowed me to experience a number of different courses and interests. I have an interest in forensic psychology, education, and business marketing. I will investigate those career paths to see which is a better fit for me. I will work hard to continue my education and hopefully earn a PHD in psychology.  My goal is to attend a 4 year university\college where I can be part of a women's volleyball team. My hope is that a university or college will recognize my work ethic\ determination and be willing to teach me the life skills that I will need to be a confident and successful person. Thank you
