Kara Haase '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kara Haase. I am currently attending Kings Park High School in Kings Park, NY. I will be graduating in 2018. I live with my parents, Dave and Christine and my younger sister Emma.

I started playing Volleyball at the age of nine and I knew right away that the sport of Volleyball would be my passion. Even though until 10^th Grade, I played Elite Travel Lacrosse and Travel Basketball, my love of Volleyball and being part of a very successful program in High School and with my club team, has made me realize that my dream is to earn a college degree and play volleyball at the highest possible level. In order to accomplish this goal, I realize it will take a lot of hard work and dedication on the court and in the classroom, but I know that anything is possible with hard work.

I am a player that is coachable and wants to continually learn to become a better person, teammate and player.  One of my strengths is my mental approach to the game and due to that, I feel that I play my best when the game is on the line.

The last 2 years of playing Varsity Volleyball in High School have been invaluable to me in regards to my growth on and off the court.  My team has made six straight appearances to the State Championships and that experience was amazing to go through with my teammates. 

By the end of my senior year, I will have played 3 years on Varsity and 6 years of club volleyball at the highest level and hopefully my experiences of playing for State Championships and Club Championships will help me make a smooth transition to the college game. I am currently a six rotation Right Side Hitter and I’m looking for a program that can showcase my abilities and skills.  I started my playing career as a Middle Hitter which has helped me in being versatile, being able to play multiple positions on the court. I am very confident in my skills and I feel I can make an impact on your program immediately.
