Olivia Kane '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7" Libero/Defensive Specialist from Blue Point, New York and was the starting DS for Bayport-Blue Point High School’s varsity girls team last year as a junior.  My school team was NYSPHSAA Section XI (County) Class B Champions, Long Island Regional Class B Champions and NY state Class B Semifinalists.  I was awarded All-League honors last season by the Suffolk County Volleyball Coaches Association, and due to my hard work and year-round dedication, have been named co-captain for my senior year as starting varsity libero.   I have played club volleyball for 4 years as well, most recently on Rival VBC’s U17 National team, playing in the Open Division.  I have a 3.6 GPA and SAT score of 1080.  I want to study nursing in an excellent program in college, and I’m looking for a school that meets my academic needs while being able to continue my volleyball career.  I am open to considering all types of colleges/universities in any location, while playing at any level or division.

Over the years I have had numerous medical obstacles to overcome in order to play volleyball at a highly competitive level.  I have conquered these obstacles, allowing me to be an inspiring, confident, and competitive presence on the court, and I feel that I can have a positive impact on any team I am on.
