Dana Fang '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dana Fang and I play for the varsity volleyball team at Byram Hills in Armonk, New York. I am currently 5'8" and 140 lbs. One of my most important accomplishments was starting as a sophomore for an entire team of seniors. We were a 19-1 winning team, won all league, and I was an honorable mention for all section. Another really important moment for me was being the only player in my 2010 team to claim the title of "all league". I would love to go to college as far away from home as possible, not only because the experience would be great, but I would have to learn to live on my own and become independent in a new part of the country. I would most likely prefer to go to college on the west coast because I love the warm weather, and admire many of the volleyball players that originated there. My family does need financial aid, and it would be amazing if I were able to get a scholarship for volleyball. My desired major is in the arts, drawing and painting or fashion design. My athletic goals are to play all 4 years of my college career, to have a strong impact on the team, and to be seen as a leader, or someone that others can look up to.
