I’ve always been athletic (and used to play basketball) but it wasn’t until my older sister insisted we practice volleyball together that the game became part of who I am. At a very young age I’d carry a volleyball around all the time, so I could practice even in a parking lot waiting to pick up a sibling. My goals are big. Through team training, attending camps and practicing at home, I've reached 1,000 career high school assists and helped my club team and high school team reach far into championship brackets. This past high school season we won our Division and our County championships! This season we won Division championship again and are in the finals of the County tournament!
Coming from a family full of straight A students with parents who emphasize academics come first, has taught me how to be organized and prioritize. I’m an Honors student with a 3.92 GPA, and am a member of the National Honor Society and 3 other Honor Societies. As a volunteer in our Youth Council I take great pride in giving my time to benefit elementary school students and other town programs. I'm part of our Class Council (and serve as Class of 2018 President my senior year) and also the Bella Voce Honors choir, which gives me the opportunity to work in harmony with others to create beautiful music together as one voice.
Being the youngest of four children close in age, I’ve always been a team player. After all, coordinating school, sports and extra-curricular activities, sharing household chores and the attention of our parents, all comes with the territory. It has also given me a strong sense of who I am, where I come from, and the type of person I’d like to be. We believe in family. We believe in honesty. We believe in hard work. I’m excited to attend a University to achieve my academic goals, continue to play the game of Volleyball and make a positive impact in the world.
Thank you.
