Tymera Crudup '17 Recruiting Profile

     As a triple threat athlete, I love the opportunity to take on different challenges and to grow from them. Athletically and academically, I commit to challenges because it is an opportunity for me to rise and to increase my desire for improvement. My junior year of being the Libero on the volleyball team was the most challenging responsibility that I had taken on in any other sport. As a Libero, I have learned the importance of backing up your teammates, cheering on your teammates,  bringing positive energy on the court, and the importance of trusting yourself as well as the team. I love receiving constructive criticism because I am determined to be the best I can be and refuse to settle for less; therefore, I am always looking for ways to improve. As an athlete I learned the value of teamwork, dedication, hustle, and the value of leadership. I have a desire for success and I am determine to work hard to reach my goals.

     My mindset of an athlete carries on academically. I value the importance and commitment of a student-athlete. Athletics and academics play a huge role in my life; therefore, I take it seriously and enjoy having fun with it at the same time. I will always remain focused and continue to work hard to strive for success. Challenges motivate me and I challenge myself to become a better student-athlete everyday. I am open to any opportunity to show that I have what it takes to be an outstanding and effective candidate for your team.
