Cassidy Davis '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Cassidy Davis.  I am a student at Ft. Zumwalt South High School and a member of the Class of 2020.  I love playing sports.  Just about any sport.  I have done karate, played recreational soccer for 9 years, run a couple of 5k races, and love throwing the football around with my family. But volleyball is my favorite.

I started playing volleyball in a recreational league when I was eight years old.  The following year I tried out and made my first club team!  My 12's through 14's years I played middle hitter.  In 2016, my 14's team qualified for USAV Junior Nationals in the American Division.  We finished 26th out of 64 teams.  My freshman year in high school I made the JV team and started playing outside hitter.  I was a six rotation player and outside hitter for my club team that year too.

I take school as seriously as I take volleyball.  In 8th grade I joined the PPI (positive peer influence) program which helps the 6th graders transition into the  middle school environment.  We would do monthly presentations and give them advice on how to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts.  In high school, I currently hold a 3.78/4.0 GPA, have made the Honor Roll each quarter and have a class rank of 93 out of 332 students. I enjoy science, and am currently considering a biology, marine biology or meteorology degree in college.

On my own time, I enjoy photography, reading, drawing and spending time with neighbors, friends and family.  For the past two summers I have participated in the C.I.T. (counselor in training) program at my local community center for their summer day camp for elementary school aged kids.  I am also a firm believer that smiles are contagious and you can turn someone's day around by sharing a smile.

I love playing volleyball.  I have learned so much in the past couple of years, and hope to still be on that climb to achieve great things at the collegiate level.  I want to play in college because I'm not ready to give up the game I cherish and that has already taken me on an incredible ride.
