I started playing volleyball at a young age. being only 7, I signed up to play at our local rec center because they needed more players, little did I know I would fall in love with the sport. around 10 years old, I started playing at two small clubs around the twin cities, just to learn the club volleyball experience. the next year is when I finally started playing at a competitive level at M1 volleyball. I played there for only one year but it was one of the best programs I've ever played for throughout my entire sports career. they were intense about the sport, but comforting in the atmosphere, and I had a strong bond with many of the girls from my past team. in order for me to take my game to the next level, I decided to play at northern lights. they are one of the best programs in the country, and to play on one of their top teams was the ultimate goal of mine. after my soccer season, I took most of this last summer to spend as many hours possible in the gym. I would take every opportunity to practice. I had multiple camps and lessons every week, which was a huge game changer to my level of play overall. I had so many amazing coaches willing to teach me, and a determined goal that I was set on accomplishing. making the northern lights 16-1s team was one of the biggest goals I had ever achieved. I worked very hard to go to practices after practices, lesson after lesson, and got involved as much as possible, and its the hardest I've ever worked.
