I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 years old. I love the feeling of being on a team. I love having people around me who can count on me and people who I can count on.
Being part of the conference championship and section runner-up team my freshman year has been the highlight of my volleyball career so far. As a sophmore starter this year, however I feel has been my greatest learning experience. It was a rebuilding year, but I was able to focus on becoming a strong leader on the court. I proved this to myself when I was voted captain for the 2018 season. I look forward to continue working on my leadership skills during club season in addition to my volleyball skills. I manage my busy volleyball and school schedule while managing my Type 1 Diabetes. This means I am excellent at time management and I am a tough competitor who doesn't believe in giving up when things get hard.
In the classroom, I have a 3.8GPA and am taking a mix of honors, AP and regular classes.
I will pick my college based on the academics and I hope to find one who will also have a great volleyball program for me.
