My name is Sarah Dunn, my mom introduced me and my older sister of two years to the sport of volleyball. She has fond memories and wanted to give us the same experience and understand what it means to belong to a team.
I started as the setter in my elementary school years. We choose to play CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) because it provided me the opportunity to play in a more competitive league.
I then began as a hitter in my 7th and 8th grade seasons. In 6th grade my team went 10-1 winning the our division. In 8th grade my team won the CYO Championship title.
I started playing on local teams, then moved to the National level allowing me to play year round.
Volleyball has taught me about team, dedication, supporting my teammates on and off the court, commitment, accountability and respect.
I'm used to playing at a high level of volleyball, as I move into my high school years I have set my goals and look forward to continuing my volleyball career.
Looking forward I know I want to play volleyball in college, to represent my school and play at the next competitive level. While earning a college degree. I know will help me be successful in the rest of my life.
