Volleyball has been a part of my life for 4 years and my love of the sport started unexpectedly with encouragement from my Middle School PE Teacher. I had tried several sports and none had quite been the right fit. I gave Volleyball a try and it was like magic. Volleyball has brought me so much joy and I have made lifelong friends through Club, High School, and different camps. I love traveling to the different tournaments and enouraging my teammates when they might be down. Now playing on the Varsity High School team, school days include working as hard as I can in all of my classes, and then bringing everything I have when I step onto the court for practice. I know that I have to use those two hours everyday to better myself and to work with my team so we can better ourselves as a whole. Everyday I look forward to lacing up and getting on the court to play with a great group of girls and do the thing that I love most. Once High School season is over, I have to continue to train hard for Club tryouts. Although those late nights can be challenging, I do it because I love the game. Of course know that being a student-athlete starts with being a good student, so school always has to come first. As soon as I get home from practice, all homework needs to be finished before anything else. I would love the chance to play volleyball at a competitive level in college and win a major college title. Biology and Chemistry are two major subjects that I would love to learn about and have an interest in. I hope to use those to pursue a career in medicine. If you want a driven, hard-working player who loves the game and meeting new people, I hope you will consider me for your team.
