In college, I want to further my education while continuing to play the sport I love. My dad has coached me from a very young age, practically since I could walk. I started playing competitively when I was eight. I have been told by various people (who know their way around the volleyball court) that I have an outstanding volleyball IQ. Off the volleyball court, I also grew up playing tennis and golf, which I love, though I chose to dedicate more of myself to volleyball. In the classroom I was awarded First Honor Roll all six semesters at Assumption. This year I chose to join Beta Club and become an Ambassador.
Outside of school and athletics, I volunteer regularly. I volunteered in an elementary school once a week during my sophomore year, assisting teachers in class as well as tutoring students. I also help my dad coach young volleyball players. I go to the Dare to Care center and help package canned goods regularly, but my favorite volunteer work is helping care for shelter dogs at the Kentucky Humane Society. I am passionate about everything I do and I try to live our school theme "make every second count." I plan to make the world a better place and enjoy myself while I do it.
