Rebecca Simkins '13 Recruiting Profile

I am in love with the game of volleyball and it has been a major part of my life since I was 12 years old. Between club, fall league, summer league and school, I have played continuously for almost 5 years. I am 5 feet 3 inches, weigh 115 lbs, am quick on the court and can get to a lot of balls. That is why I was a starting Varsity player my sophomore year of high school. I am positive on the court and am able to lift my team up when we are down. My main goal in life is to be a teacher so I am looking for a semi-small college, in the Midwest, with a good education program as well as an opportunity to play volleyball. I currently have 4.58 GPA and am ranked 14 in a class of 392. Realistically, I understand I may not be a starter as a freshman but I would work hard to get as much playing time as I could.
