I am a 5'11 middle hitter from West Des Moines, Iowa. I have a 3.81 GPA and will graduate from Waukee High School in 2020. I play for Central Iowa Select (CIS) and I have played club volleyball at the national level for 4 years. I participated in the High Performance volleyball camp and was invited to play on the High Performance travel team for the state of Iowa in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, July, 2017. I am excited to try beach volleyball for the first time this summer and am looking forward to playing for my high school in the fall.
I believe I have a lot to offer as a player and teammate. First, I work hard both on and off season to improve myself physically and mentally. Second, I do not take success for granted and am constantly looking to improve. For example, recently a coach wrote the word "humble" on a small rock and gave it to me as a reminder of one of my positive qualities. Third, I am encouraging and caring to my teammates. And finally, I make the adjustments my coaches ask me to make. In a college, I am looking to find a balance between the classroom and the court. I am very open minded right now in my college selection process, but I am most interested in having a positive impact on the team from year one through graduation. I love volleyball, and sports in general. Being a college athlete has been a lifelong goal.
