Camella Johnson '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Camella Johnson. I am currently a senior in high school and I attend Seton Academy in South Holland, Illinois. I have been playing volleyball since I was in the 6th grade. I am 5'4" and I weigh 120. I have recieve the All-Conference Award two years in a row. I have also recieved the MVP award almost every year that I have been playing. I played club ball for a couple of different clubs such as Top Spin, Diamond Elite, the Chicago Comets, and this year I will be playing for Illiana Explosive. Every year of high school, I have been recognized as a captain of some sort. My freshman year I was recognized as co-captain and every year after that I have been captain. I work hard and I make sure that everybody stays on top of their game. I take the leadership role very seriously because volleyball is something that I want to go far in. Volleyball is something that I take very seriously and it would be my dream to play volleyball in college. I am working very hard to get there. I would like to go to a big school but big schools are not the only ones I'm looking at. I am looking at every type of school out there whether it is big, small, diverse, or an HBC. The divisons that I am looking at would mainly be D1 and D2, however I have also been looking at D3. My family will be needing financial aid. I will be sending in the FAFSA as soon as I can. As far as my major goes, I have been looking at a couple of different ones. The ones that I am interested in are criminal justice, pre-med (biology), and nursing. However, I think I will be going into college Undecided. Realisticly, my athletic goals would to be just to be able to play as a freshman. I just want to be a team player and be able to help make a contribution to the team.
