Iman McGary '15 Recruiting Profile

~~Hi, I'm Iman McGary from Rockford, Illinois. I currently go to Keith Country Day School. I'm a 6'0 Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist. I play on 17 Black at Club Fusion.  I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old. I have always been determined to be one of the best players ever since I was young. It takes a lot of determination and sacrifice to push yourself to play at the highest level, because of my love for the game I have never look at volleyball as work. It has always been a dream of mine to play in college and play at the next level. I have listed some of my accomplishments below: Freshman Year: Prep Volleyball Frosh 59, 1st Team All-Conference. Sophomore Year: Prep-Volleyball Highest Honorable Mention -Soph 79, 1st Team All-Conference, All-State Honorable Mention, AVCA – Phenom Watch List. Junior Year:  Prep Volleyball - Special Mention, 1st Team All-Conference and MVP, Special Mention All-American. I believe the most rewarding accomplishments for me has been the success as a team.  I have had an amazing opportunity to win two State Championships back-to-back with my High School team. I know the value and importance of relationships on a team, on and off the court. I consider myself a team player, a leader and I play my best under pressure. I am looking forward to finding a college that will be the right fit for me academically and also be able to fulfill my dreams as a volleyball player. I take pride in hearing that I am very coachable, I have always enjoyed working with new coaches so I can continue to grow and improve my skills.
