I am a Senior in high school this fall and I am passionate about volleyball. I love the sport so much that I want to be able to play it during college while I study for my future career. I am an outside and rightside hitter for my club team, Team ONE. For my varsity team, I am a setter and hitter (we run a 6-2). Playing a 6-2 allows me to continue hitting during the varsity season. I play all around for both teams and am team captain. I also play beach volleyball for Team ONE and our season typically runs from May through August. This past summer, 2013, my partner and I were the 18U Open Division USAV beach champions and we kept our #1 ranking throughout the season. The past 3 years I have qualified for AAU and USAV Nationals beach volleyball. By playing beach volleyball, I have improved my volleyball skills and increased my vertical. Aside from being a great sport, it has been terrific for cross training and is a great mental break from the indoor seasons. In addition, my vertical has increased and my setting has continually improved. My goal is to play at the college level while I also receive a quality education. I have the discipline and ability to be dedicated to both my studies and to my team and succeed at both. I believe I have many qualities that are positive as a team player: I am a natural leader, a positive person, a very hard working individual, and I have the skills to play at the collegiate level. I trust in my teammates and work hard that they trust in me. I try my best to get to know all of my teammates on a personal level. I am open to any college where I could be a starting player and where I can receive a high quality education. Thank you for viewing my profile.
