Hilary Rhode '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I'm Hilary Rhode and here is just a little about me as a volleyball player. I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh about 130 pounds. I have been playing volleyball for eight year. I began to play in the fifth grade and have played throughout junior high and high school. In junior high I was a seventh grade starter for one year (also that year my team went to state) and an eighth grade starter for two years. My freshman year I was a junior varisty starter, sophomore, junior, and senior years I started varisty. I was a team captain for my eighth grade team and for my varisty team. I am very envolved with many other extracurricular activities at school and I know that my school work comes frist but volleyball is aways my seconded priority. Ever since I started to play volleyball and realized how much I love to play the sport I have wanted to play at the college level. I may be little in height but I have a lot of drive and passion for the sport. Since I attend such a small school I can play the position of an outside hitter because there are so few tall girls on the team. I am willing to play in the libero position because of the height as an outside hitter.  
My athletic goal for college would be to play  college volleyball. I just want to be on a team and be able to have the opportunity to play. It is what I have always dreamed and wanted to have the opportunity to do.
I would prefer to go to school in Illinois so I will be close to home. Central Illinois would be a better fit for me but I am open to options. The type of school I am not picky about I would go to a small or big school. I am open to junior colleges and four year universities. I plan to major in Hospitality Management/ Event Planning and would prefer to attend a colllege that offers that major.
