Madelyn Melvin '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddy Melvin. I am a Senior at Dixon High School, Dixon, Illinois. I've been working towards my goal of playing college level volleyball since I was 10 years old, and haven't stopped since. My ideal college is a competitive one that will give me new challenges in the sport I love, as well as, an excellent education that I can build on in years to come. When I'm not practicing with my High School or Club team(s) you can usually find me practicing indoors or outdoors to improve every facet of my game. I pride myself on being a good student, as well as, a leader on and off the floor for my team and my friends. I have been Team Captain for the past six (6) seasons both High School and Club, where I start as a Setter and I am now hitting as well.  I have proficiently run both a 5/1 and 6/2 offense and I hope my hard work and determination is shown in my videos, this bio, and my play.  I also believe that it will be this same hard work and determination that will help me play for a college program.
