Bridget Sheerin '10 Recruiting Profile

My name is Bridget Sheerin and it has always been a dream of mine to play college volleyball. I am a 6 feet tall, hard hitting, left handed player. At Marist High School,Chicago this season I was in the top three for virtually every statistic my team kept: kills, blocks, sets, digs, service points and aces; #1 with most time on the court. I've been called the most under rated player on the southside, where competition is fierce. I played in the Marist volleyball and in club programs all four years. As a freshman there were 68 players trying out for the Marist team. By senior year I was the only senior to start and play all the way around. I lead our team as Captain and was named ESCC All Conference and All-Area Honorable mention - the only rightside hitter so honored. I also recieved the Redhawk award for demonstrating the best attributes of a Marist Volleyball Player. My highlight video shows some of what I can do on the court. I am very dedicated to my goals. I am hardworking on the court and in class. I have great court sense and I always want to be the player to put the ball away in tough situations. I am looking for a school where I can play volleyball and gain a quality education. I am open to different types of school and love to try new things. I am planning on majoring in Biology or Physical Therapy, or Business, and a long term goal of mine is to eventually coach at a high level. I coach now at a grade school level. My athletic goal is to play at the highest level of competition I possibly can. I want to make an impact with my team by demonstrating hard work and determination.
