The sport of volleyball has made a huge impact on my life and my passion for the game is undeniable. Volleyball has taught me that it is not only important to be physically tough but mentally tough as well. Earning my varsity letter as a Sophomore has been one of the highlights and greatest motivations of my volleyball career. At the 2017 AAU Volleyball Nationals in Orlando, my team earned second in the 17u Classic division. That experience taught me that hard work really does pay off and that chemistry is one of the most important factors for being a successful team.
Additionally, being a two time captain between my school and club teams has taught me that encouragement, along with constantly having a positive attitude on the court, is one of the most important variables of having a successful team. I have made it a habit that whenever I make a mistake or someone on my team does, I am as encouraging as possible and my goal for the next point is to better the ball for my team.
My academics are extremely important to me and I am looking for a college that will not only help me improve in my skill as a volleyball player but as a student as well. I plan to go into exercise science/ athletic training as a major and a school that can help me balance my major and volleyball schedule would be a great fit for me.
