Aloha, my name is Lauren "Kalei" Kaaialii and I was born and raised on the island of Oahu. I am in my senior year at Sacred Hearts Academy, an all girls school which I have attended since kindergarten. I feel that having the opportunity to attend a single gender school has given me the ability to be more independent, confident, and has helped me to become more of a leader.
I have always enjoyed playing sports beginning with basketball at the age of seven and volleyball at the age of 10. While I enjoy both sports, my passion for volleyball was greater, therefore I have been focusing on volleyball since freshman year. The 2016 school season was my fourth consecutive year playing for my High School Varsity volleyball team.
Over the years, playing volleyball has taught me strength, leadership, mental toughness, commitment, and the true meaning of hard work. I value teamwork and communication to be successful not only in sports, but in life. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. I look forward to making new friendships and accomplishing goals through hard work and being challenged.
