Kristen Newberry '16 Recruiting Profile

I love volleyball. The game allows me to express my passionate self. On the court, I can truly be a part of a team that aspires to do well - together. I am a hard worker and love to be a part of something I can do with others. Reaching towards a team goal is inspirational to me in life. I hope to attend a college that inspires me towards reaching my dreams - to help others in some way, and to make a difference. I plan to investigate the medical, psychological and criminal fields. I strive to do my best in all things, on or off the court. I am steady, stable, and a person others reach out to for advice and help. I work hard to keep my grades up and to contribute to my team and school - and give back to my community. Currently, I volunteer for the American Diabetes Association, the JDRF, a nursing home and a preschool. I hope to do my senior program this year working with mentally challenged children and horses. I look forward to the opportunity of being considered for a collegiate volleyball team!
