Mollie Lawrence '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mollie Lawrence and I am a 5'9” setter from Jacksonville Florida. I am fortunate to be able to play as an setter for my club team as well as my high school.  I consider my strengths as a player to be the intelligence of the game, my ability to get my teammates involved in the sets and leadership on the court.  I take lessons weekly to work on my skill as a setter but to also work on my understanding go the game.  I have played club volleyball for five years. This past season my team made it to the USAV Junior National Championships in Minneapolis, MN. We qualified to play in the National division, this was the second consecutive year my team qualified for the event.  We work each year to be able to qualify for the US Jr Nationals because we feel competing at that high level is the best challenge for us as a club and team.  I am looking for a college where I can pursue a degree in science/medical field. I am open to going anywhere in the US. I have a very strong work ethic and this shows in my practice intensity, competitiveness on the court, and also my grades in the classroom. I would like my athletic environment to be one where I have a chance at working my way onto the court where I can make an immediate impact on the team.
