Being in a military family and having to move a lot made me learn how to adapt to my new surroundings and how to overcome challenges. (make new friends) I became interested in my sport in 7th grade starting Junior High School. My mom made me try out for volleyball and without ever touching a volleyball, I made the JV squad so i wanted to see what else I could do with this sport and how far that it might take me. learned that when I’m on my game and I’m Dominant on the volleyball court, my team's mood towards the game changes and we are able to come together and get more work done. I have high academic goals for high school, expecting only A's and B's while also being named to the honor roll every semester. I plan to excel acadmeically in college as well; this is very important to both me and my parents. When I was starting high school as a freshman, I tried for the JV Volleyball team at Fleming Island High School. After tryouts I saw that I had been cut then I began doubting myself with volleyball. That tragic moment motivated me to work harder. The following year, after I transferred to Clay High School for a program I got accepted to, I tried out again for volleyball. That same year I made the Varsity Squad as sophomore and was a starter player. Some of my characteristics that I have and feel will help me be apart of a successful college volleyball team are; positive attitude, love of the sport and my teammates and rising to every challenge that comes my way.
